Diskos Core Photo

Project from 2019-2020 funded by the Diskos-group to digitize negatives from core photos.

The negatives used in the project came from Stratum’s (former Weatherford Laboratories’) archive. This included both A and B-cut, white light and UV light. The negatives were scanned in high resolution, i.e. resolution up to 100 megapixel and loaded to the Diskos database.

The approx. 1100 wellbores included in the project are mainly exploration wellbores drilled pre-2000.

There are 33 000 core photos available from this project in Diskos.
