In our Subsurface domain, this strategy is at the core of how we develop and use tools for Dynamic Subsurface Assessment of our fields. Here are some of the open-source tools — among many other applications — in our dynamic subsurface assessment toolbox that we use and support:

• OPM Flow – A fully implicit, black-oil reservoir simulation tool with support for advanced well modeling, network modeling, and large-scale field simulations.
• DROGON – is an example of a full Fast Model Update reservoir modelling project, built with synthetic data.
• ResInsight – A powerful 3D visualization tool for reservoir simulation data, supporting interpretation, simulation results analysis, data preparation, and communication.
• ERT – An Ensemble based tool for sensitivity analysis, data assimilation, and history matching using ensemble methods.
• EVEREST – A reservoir robust optimization tool for robust well planning and production strategies under uncertainty.
• eCalc – An energy and Emission forecasting tool integrating data from multiple disciplines for GHG analysis.
• Cirrus – A high-performance Reservoir simulation tool for CO2 storage applications, modeling plume behavior, caprock integrity, and pressure evolution
