We are organising a seminar on seabed minerals, focusing on deep-sea data that has been collected, and how this data enhances our understanding of biology and geology in the deep sea on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS).
- Date: Thursday, 5 June
- Location: Måltidets Hus, Richard Johnsens gate 4, 4021 Stavanger
- In person or straming: Register to attend in person. Streaming of the seminar will be open to everyone directly from the Sodir.no front page.
The seminar will be held in Norwegian.
The focus of the seminar will be on deep-sea data and how this data enhances our understanding of biology and geology in the deep sea on the NCS. It will provide an introduction to which types of data have been collected by national institutions, academia and research projects in recent decades, including a lecture on how open data is used.
The seminar is free and open to all interested parties. Capacity at Måltidets hus is limited to 96 people. If all physical seats are filled, there will be restrictions on the number of seats available for each agency, company and organisation.
Coffee and a light lunch will be served.
