CCS and the Paleocene plumbing system of Central North sea

With contiguous CCS licences potentially sharing Tertiary aquifers in the Norwegian North sea, companies need to collaborate to anticipate pressure interaction issues. This workshop aims to share views on how to model communication between various reservoirs; it will focus on the four exploration licences EXL009, EXL 010, EXL011 & EXL013. The proposed high-level agenda is as follows:

• Introduction: SoDir will set the scene with the tectono-stratigraphic context of the western flank of Stord Basin
• Morning: view and discuss cores of key wells relevant for the deposition and remobilization of Tertiary sands in that area – These wells are 25/1-7, 25/6-3, 26/4-1 & 25/11-B14H
• Afternoon: participants will share views on how to model these sands and the plumbing system during a workshop; to facilitate discussions, some companies will present their own views during talks

A light lunch will be served.
