Structural Geology

structural geology

Structural geology is at the core of hydrocarbon exploration, as structures control the migration, trapping and escape of hydrocarbon fluids. No geological, geochemical or geophysical study can be done without the input of structural geology.

The Structural Geology Network Group consists of company representatives who work together, share experiences and build relationships.

Our aim is to increase the competence and awareness of structural geology in exploration and production activities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

As a member in the Structural Geology Network Group you are expected to attend network meetings, and to contribute in group discussions and competence building activities like seminars and workshops.
