8/25/2026 This year's winner of the Norwegian Offshore Directorate's “Improved Recovery Award” has worked systematically to revitalise the Draugen and Brage fields.

8/24/2026 Advanced methods can yield enhanced oil and gas recovery. So far, the Norwegian Offshore Directorate has identified three discoveries on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) that may be suitable for enhanced recovery using advanced methods (EOR). One of them remains unclaimed.

8/20/2026 Resource report 2026: Without significant discoveries, production on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) may fall steeply after 2030. Resources remain plentiful, but growth levels are too low to maintain current production levels over time.
