The proposed amendments are intended to adapt the regulations to practice and routines, make necessary linguistic adjustments, and to simplify and clarify the regulations. Certain substantive changes are also proposed, which are described in more detail in the consultation document.

The Norwegian Offshore Directorate proposes that the changes enter into force on 1 January 2026.

The consultation deadline is 1 December 2025.
