Drilling permit for well 1/3-13 in production licence 970

6/2/2021 The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted OMV (Norge) AS a drilling permit for well 1/3-13, cf. Section 13 of the Resource Management Regulations.

Well 1/3-13 will be drilled from the Maersk Integrator drilling facility in position 56°50'52.573"N and 02°44'26.335"E.

The drilling programme for well 1/3-13 relates to the drilling of a wildcat well in production licence 970. OMV (Norge) AS is the operator with an ownership interest of 60 per cent.

The other licensees are Petoro AS (20 per cent) and Neptune Energy Norge AS (20 per cent).

The area in this licence consists of part of block 1/3.

The well will be drilled about 6 kilometres south of the Oselvar field and 25 kilometres south of the Ula field.

Production licence 970 was awarded on 1 March 2019 (APA2018). This is the first exploration well to be drilled in the licence.

The permit is contingent on the operator securing all other permits and consents required by other authorities prior to commencing the drilling activity.
