New director at the Norwegian Offshore Directorate
9/7/2026 Siv Fagerland Christensen has taken up her position as Director of governance, finance and shared services.
hristensen is a part of the Directorate's executive management team.
Christensen has the equivalent of a master's degree in finance and business administration, and comes from an extensive private sector career in finance, strategy and business development.
According to her, the new and unfamiliar aspect is what makes the position attractive:
"I wanted to do something different. I've never worked for the government before, only the private sector, so this is a very exciting opportunity," says Christensen, who has a background from Norske Shell, Equinor, Orkla, Kverneland and DSD.
Her experience ranges from finance and economics to commercial negotiations and mergers and acquisitions.
"I'm very pleased to have a leader with Siv's experience on the executive management team," says Torgeir Stordal, Director general of the Norwegian Offshore Directorate.
