4/9/2026 The Norwegian Offshore Directorate’s Technology Day will be held on 4 June. There are still some slots available!

Acquisition of subsurface data, challenging barrels and next generation production systems are three main areas the Offshore Directorate believes are important for the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) in the years ahead.

That’s why we’ll be organising Technology Day on 4 June 2026, for the fifth year running.

The following are among the topics on the programme:

  • improved Reservoir Interpretation and drilling results using OBN data at the Balder and Ringhorne fields
  • development and deployment of subsea compression on Ormen Lange
  • cost effective water injection – Hanz dump flood

The target group for the event consists of employees of licensee companies and resource authorities on the NCS.

Appraisal well in the North Sea increases projection (16/1-EA-4 H)
9/25/2026 Aker BP and its partners Equinor and DNO have drilled an appraisal well on the "Verdandi" and "Lillefix" discoveries in the North Sea. This well increases the projected discovery size.
