Drilling permit for well 15/6-15 in production licence 814
5/8/2019 The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Aker BP ASA a drilling permit for well 15/6-15 cf. Section 15 of the Resource Management Regulations.
Well 15/6-15 will be drilled from the Deepsea Stavanger drilling facility in position 58°40'35.74"N and 01°52'22.19"A.
The drilling programme for well 15/6-15 relates to the drilling of a wildcat well in production licence 814. Aker BP is the operator with an ownership interest of 40 per cent. The other licensees are MOL Norge AS with 30 per cent and OMV (Norge) AS with 30 per cent.
The area in this licence consists of parts of block 15/6. The well will be drilled about 15 km northeast of the Gina Krog field in the central part of the North Sea.
Production licence 814 was awarded on 5 February 2016 (APA 2015). This is the first well to be drilled in the licence.
The permit is contingent on the operator securing all other permits and consents required by other authorities prior to commencing the drilling activity.
