NPD to present new resource report

8/22/2022 On Thursday, 25 August, Kjersti Dahle Grov, acting Director of technology, Analysis and coexistence, will present the Resource Report 2022.



The report provides a general status and analysis of the long-term opportunities and challenges for petroleum activity on the Norwegian shelf (NCS).


Some of the topics addressed in the report:

  • Remaining resource potential and the opportunities and values this could represent for the Norwegian society
    Confirmation that the NCS is competitive, both in terms of cost and emissions

  • What is needed for Norway to maintain its role as a stable, long-term and secure supplier of oil and gas to Europe

  • Challenges, dilemmas and opportunities when this activity must adapt to a stricter climate policy framework

Place: The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate’s offices, Valhall auditorium, at Ullandhaug in Stavanger.

Time: Thursday, 25 August, 10.00 - 11.30

The presentation will be given in Norwegian, and live-streamed on npd.no.
